Transferring everything fromiphone 6s with 11.4 operating system to new iphone 12 using this method fails. Indicates the iphone 6s must be 12.4 or higher. Then why does the intial screen indicate 11 operating system. Total baloney

Your operating system is very outdated. If you have a 6S, you should be on iOS 15.2.1, if you have a 6, you can update to 12.5.5. Do the update, then transfer.


Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
