What is Kerberos is macOS Monterey?

Hello!

I was recently playing around with notification settings on my MacBook Pro (Late 2020) (macOS 12.1) and realised there seemed to be an app called Kerberos. I have never seen this app before anywhere on my Mac, and it's not in any other folder or location from what I can find other than the Notifications settings in System Preferences.

Does anyone know what this application is for, if it's dangerous, or if I should get rid of it?

Under no circumstances to you delete Kerberos as a typical user .

It's an essential protocol for generating and exchanging tokens and security over the internet .

Its always been within MAcOS hidden within the System/Library files

Indeed you can't remove it without being a super user so don't worry
