Car bluetooth not working correctly after IOS update 15.2

My 2017 Buick Enclave bluetooth worked perfectly in my car until the recent update. The bluetooth connects BUT nothing comes out of the speakers. I will get a call normal I would push "accept" on the screen of my car and it routes the call through my car speakers. Now when I hit accept on my screen it brings it to my iPhone 11. Also, same thing with music. It shows selected music on screen of car, I can pause, play etc but nothing comes through speakers anymore.

So far I have done the following:

-unpaired and repaired

-turned on and off my phone

-turned my bluetooth completely off and then on. (it has no problem connecting to bluetooth only a problem coming through speakers.)

This is beyond annoying! I work out of my car and need these features to work. Please help!

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to connect to Bluetooth in your car after updating to iOS 15.2.

We'd suggest first backing up, then updating to our latest version which is 15.2.1 by following this resource.

Also, have you reached out to your car manufacturer to confirm their firmware supports the most recent updates to iOS?

I have the most update to date version on my phone. To clarify, the Bluetooth is connecting but nothing is coming our the car speakers. I can control my iPhone from my car screen so it is connected. Not only is it not playing music it is not allowing phone calls to come through my speakers which is basically not allowing the hands free option. My car manufacture can’t do anything because it wasn’t their update that did this is was Apples. Please help! Can I get this update off my phone. This isn’t ok! Going through the community post this is a problem for ALOT of people not just me.
