How do I play my own music on iPhone / Apple Music?

I'm an amateur musician, and have always listened to work in progress, mixdown's etc. via the music app on my phone. In the past, I've always been able to add the songs from Logic to iTunes, then connect phone via USB to update tracks as they come. I recently began subscribing to Apple Music, and now it doesn't seem to allow me to add a new playlist (with updated tracks).

There must be a way that I can listen on my phone, to mp3's that I've created on my Macbook?!
