Orange microphone banner, remove

This orange banner at top of screen often shows up after my kid plays with my phone. Airplane mode seems unrelated. Prefer not resetting phone to remove it. Alternative way to remove it?

Turn Off Microphone Indicator Hello Wonderful People! they’re too young and clueless…unfortunately.

Maybe they shouldn’t be using the phone, then. Are you using Guided Access, that only lets them use one app that you choose for them?
