Apple Watch series 7 cannot download os update from iPhone mini iOS 15.1.1

I cannot update the Apple Watch version. It keeps saying that a new update is available but it ways keeps on the rotating gearwheel spinner. The problem is not data connection problem as I am able to access anything else (social media, browser etc...) Will try to re-install the app on the iPhone. Would appreciate any help.

We understand that you are having some difficulty updating your Appel Watch, and we'd like to help. You've mentioned you don't have any connections issues, but we do recommend trying another Wi-Fi connection. Certain things like a VPN could prevent software updates.

Make sure you're using the latest available iOS version on your iPhone:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try these steps:

Make sure that your Apple Watch connects to its charger.
Restart your Apple Watch. Press and hold the side button until you see Power Off, then drag the slider. To turn your watch on again, press and hold the side button.
Restart your paired iPhone.
Try to start the update again.

If the update won't start, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap General > Usage > Software Update, then delete the update file. After you delete the file, try to download and install watchOS again.
