How do I reset my Apple account password as I have forgot it?

That process is meant for when the passcode - which locks the individual device - is forgotten and will involve erasing the device. The OP says he has forgotten his Apple password, presumably meaning his Apple ID password, which is covered in the link I posted. Only if in fact he means his passcode (four or six numbers) should he proceed as in the video.
