Mac can connect to wifi but cannot connect to internet

Suddenly my MacBook Pro cannot connect to the internet. I am able to connect to my local wifi.

Any ideas?

I'm running Catalina 10.15.7.

Open a Browser.

type in the address bar:

1.1.1.1

if you get the CloudFlare splash page your internet connection is working, but your Domain name server (DNS) aka Internet phone number lookup is not working.

(CloudFlare is NOT part of the solution here -- they just own the absolute simplest, easiest to remember numeric IP address.)
