iPod Air Software

I have an iPod Air. It currently has iPodOS 12.5.5 software. What is the latest version compatible with my device and how can I download it?

Without knowing the model of your iPad Air, it is difficult to know if you can get an update. However, if you have opened the iPad, gone to Settings>General>Software Update and you see it say the iPadOS is up to date with iOS 12.5.5, then I would say you probably have an iPad Air, 1st generation, and it will not support a higher iPadOS. Go to Settings>General>About>Model Number. Tap on the model number until you see a number starting with A, and report that here to verify your device.
