The display Cable 922-9941 that connects my iMac 27” to the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter that connects to my MacBook air needs to be replaced. Where do I buy this cable? also, does it need to be professionally installed?
I believe you can buy one from Amazon, maybe eBay ?? Apple strongly discourages Mac users from trying to fix Macs in any way… officially, that is. So you’d have to make an appointment with your local AASP ( apple authorized service provider) or local Genius Bar… and take your MacBook Air and the new cable in to be installed

+1,, please take it to an AASP to be worked on. We get stories daily about do-it-yourselfers that attempt to work on their 2012-2021 iMacs and brick their systems. Be smart an have a pro do the work.
