Fall Detection

My fall detection has activated when I caught my watch while getting dressed, when my hand slipped while tightening a screw and when I slammed a door shut, but when I fell and literally broke the arm on which I wear the watch - nothing. That was pretty disappointing. Does Apple have an answer to that?

Apple's response seems to be "Apple Watch cannot detect all falls. Your watch might detect high-impact activity as a fall and trigger fall detection."
