iPhone 5 recover photos
Hey everyone,
A few years ago, my iPhone 5 went down on me. There are photos on there that are absolutely invaluable to me and hold extreme sentimental value. I unfortunately did not have them uploaded to iCloud. I really need these photos.
When I plugged my phone into my MacBook to try to recover the photos, it said that I need to update my phone. After I downloaded the update, a message popped up reading, “the iPhone could not be updated because the firmware file was corrupt.”
After disconnecting and reconnecting the phone to the MacBook, the message popped up reading, “your iPhone can’t be updated; you just restore it to the factory settings.”
I’ve spoken to Apple Support about this and the one person also said there isn’t a way for me to recover these photos.
The reason for writing this post is that I’m hoping someone else has had this problem and has figured out a way to retrieve photos from the device. I wish there was a way to just load the latest update for the iPhone 5 that it can handle and maybe that would get me to the Home Screen so I can log in to iCloud.
I understand this is a long shot, but I gotta believe someone has had this issue. Thanks in advance for the feedback!
