Mac mail imap and contact

I’m setting up a Mac mail account (IMAP). For some reason, I can’t access my contacts. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

M1 mac google contacts not syncing I have added my google account and enabled contacts in system settings. When I go to the contacts app, I can see the google account and it is enabled but there is no option to fetch the contacts. Under general for the default account there is no option for the gmail account. Does anyone else have this issue and are they able to fix it?

Mac Mail addresses not showing in Contact App Hello! So, I know I have many email addresses that are somehow stored in my Mac Mail because they populate as I type the beginning of the address. But, when I open the Contacts App these addresses do not show in the individuals contact. How do I get these addresses from Mac Mail to my Contacts app? The goal is to send a group email to all of my business contacts by selecting their name/email address from a list. I think I can do that from Contacts if the emails are there. But if I were to try to do that in Mac Mail now I believe I would have to type each email address. Many thank yous! Stephen

I have the same problem. I set up the email just fine. When I go to Internet accounts, it doesn't provide the option for contacts - mail and notes are fine. All of the settings are correct. I can access contacts from my icloud address, but not my other email. Help. I've gone round and round on this. Thank you
