State of Survival App Keeps Crashing Everytime I Type

I downloaded the game State of Survival onto my Macbook Air (M1, 2020; macOS Monterey v. 12.1) that way it wouldn't take up room on my phone. The app works almost perfectly except for one thing: everytime I try to type in the chat the app immediately crashes and closes. A single keypress shuts the whole thing down. If I press outside of the typing box nothing happens but as soon as I click the typing box the app is done. I get an error report everytime, which I've copied and pasted below.

Can anyone translate the report into layman's terms or let me know if this is an Apple thing or just the app itself?
