Homekit App/Hue

The Philips Hue app has dynamic scene changes - superb. When you export these to HomeKit you only have the specific static colours, no time line change for dynamic scenes.

My question to Apple is: Will HomeKit eventually allow you to have dynamic scenes?

I tend to use SIRI (a bit dumb and limited and hit and miss I know....) to activate lighting and I would rather do this than get a device, load the Philips Hue App, just to have a dynamic lighting scene!

Plus the Philips Hue App has a really nice interface, very intuitive. Pity it cannot be amalgamated in HomeKit.

You can use the Hue Sync app [on one’s Mac]. You can use it to control lights that are part of an entertainment zone.

To be honest, I resent Hue for their new v4 app, they rewrote a native app in a cross platform manner, to ‘save costs’ - it’s not like they reduced the price of the lights… It’s so laggy even on a new iPad.

As you indicated, Philips Hue doesn't seem to be available for macOS. The Home app has custom scenes which can trigger changes based on time of day (I only use it for turning on and off static lighting).
