received BCC emails on icloud alias

Hi

im trying to help a friend with an iCloud email problem. I don’t use iCloud email so I’m struggling a bit.

she has an iCloud account with two Alias, Amanda and John,

I have tested that when an email is sent to Amanda’s email and her address is To, it gets delivered to her Alias inbox. However when her email address is in BCC, it is delivered to the iCloud folder, not her Alias,

we have tested this by sending To and BCC emails from both Mac Mail and Outlook with the same results, i.e BCC do not get routed to the Alias account

is this a configuration issue or a bug?

If her email address is in the "To" field, the message goes to her alias inbox.

If her email address is in the "BCC" field, the message goes to her iCloud folder.

Have you had the chance to use multiple email accounts to test the behavior?

Is your friend using iCloud.com to check her emails? Have you had the chance to ask your friend if the same behavior persists when using the Mail app on an Apple device?
