While using wired lightning headphones on my iPhone 12 when I turn every volume adjuster I’m aware of to lowest level the headphone volume during phone calls is still too loud. Shouldn’t I be able to use volume adjusters to reduce volume to vey low level — even to zero?

I also have this issue on both iPad and iPhone. The lowest level in phone calls is too loud. I don’t have any audio enhancements or any other accessibility settings enabled.
