How do I unpause a system update on my iPad

• Online:--> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple;
• Contacting a local Apple Store or AASP among the list provided above but also again as follows Apple – Location Selector; or
• Using the "Apple Support" app, available and downloadable from App Store.

Unfreeze the iPhone:

Start with unfreezing it. Once unfrozen, see if it continues through.

• If the Screen isn’t Working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Use a Computer to Update:

Just perform a new update, but this time do so through use of a computer.
