Battery life is very weak on my brand new MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro

I don't know if it's just my particular unit or it's a general problem but the battery on mine drains 1% for every 5 minutes of light usage. As you can you in the pic attached, the battery estimated time remaining is about 7 hours from a full charged 100%. It gradually gets worse as I use the laptop. Also, the SD card reader only gets me around 70Mb/s for a medium grade SD card. Should I get it back and exchange it for another unit?
