Why are there lots of tabs showing up when I open my time machine to backup my Mac pro?

Your screenshot shows that there are about 8 backups saved between Yesterday and Now. I see about 8 tabs in your screenshot as well. As you click the backup hash marks between Yesterday and Now, you will see those tabs move and the right tab will be picked and displayed.

Hi shreynah95,

The Time Machine app is used if you want to restore files that you already backed up. This is the screen that it will show; to restore files, choose a backup date on the right side of the screen, then locate the file(s) you want to restore.

If you're trying to configure Time Machine instead or start new backups, go to System Preferences -> Time Machine.
