Watch fell off my wrist

My Apple Watch fell off my wrist when I was swimming. Unfortunately I was unable to find it. My question is will apple replace my watch ? The wrist band was obviously faulty.

unlikely to ever purchase an Apple Watch again as devastated I lost it.

Applecare doesn't cover lost or stolen watches.
