My MacBook doesn't recognize my iPhone

I did everything that the article said to do and it still doesn't show up. I restarted both my computer and phone, I made sure that; CD's, DVD's, and IOS devices is checked to show up in the finder sidebar, and my phone shows up in the USB section of the system information.

Hi sknutty-27,

We understand that you are not seeing your iPhone in Finder of your MacBook Air. We see that you viewed and followed the steps of the following article, before coming to Apple Support Communities for help: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

We want to ensure that you seen this step, as you mentioned that your iPhone shows up under USB in System Information:

"4. If you see your iPhone, iPad, or iPod under USB Device Tree, get the latest macOS or install the latest updates. If you don't see your device or still need help, contact Apple Support."

Take care.
