Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Why is there a red circle with a white dash on my files?

I transferred images from Photos > Files > Google Drive (via Locations tab in Files, see below image for reference)…

…and then it worked! A lot of my photos made it to my Drive, but for some reason only some of them made it.

The rest look like this in my folder (see below), it’s been an hour, and they haven’t moved. I can’t even delete or move the red-circle files, but I can open them in the Files app (not in my Drive where I want them) and still view them perfectly.

This is extremely frustrating, and there seems to be nothing I can find to fix this. There seems to be no fast way to share a batch of photos through any Apple application or device, and I would like some help with this.

Hello there thehomeworld,

I understand some files aren't viewable or editable via Google Drive on your iPhone, so let's see if the following information is helpful.

With the files showing an error, are you able to see these on Google Drive on another device, or do they not appear on a different device at all? If you can see these uploaded to Google Drive on a different device, are you able to delete the file or is it still appearing to be stuck? If you can't remove the file, try uploading the image again to see if it can be replace the broken file.

As for help with uploading the files to Google Drive, check out the following resource found from Google Drive Help forums to see if these steps would be easier for you:

Upload files and folders to Google Drive

If you need further assistance with clearing up what is shown via the Files app, Contact Apple Support to look into this with you in more detail.

Have a great day!
