Stop disgusting spam sex text messages coming to my iphone (ATT carrier)

How do I stop disgusting spam text messages from coming to my phone? I am getting these messages hourly, day and night. They are always from an email with a group of 20 phone numbers. I diligently block the contact and the caller, but the next hour, there will be a new message from a different email. I called AT&T (I have an Apple iphone) and they were no help. I could not understand what the rep was asking me to do. Kept saying to create a new text message and type STOP 7726. BUT, the rep did not tell me what number to send this new text message to. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I am tired of receiving these digusting porno text message every hour.

The article also provides steps to report the messages if they're being sent as iMessages. If the messages are SMS messages, you'll want to again contact your carrier.
