I have 32 GB of 64 GB on my iPhone 12 do I need to be paying for xtra GBs each month

I think you’re referring to iCloud storage, in which case you get 5gb for free. If you want to backup your 32gb phone the. Yes you will need to pay 99p per month to keep a full iCloud backup.
