Issue Connecting 2 External Displays to Macbook Pro 14" M1 Max (currently recognizing both as 1)
Hi everyone,
Straight to the point: my Macbook Pro 14" M1 Max (running Monterey) is recognizing 2 external monitors as 1, so they're displaying the same thing.
I recently upgraded to the Mac from the Dell XPS15 2-in-1. I'm using a docking station (linked below) connected to 2 external monitors (also linked below). The Dell connected to both monitors correctly, but the Mac is currently recognizing both monitors as 1 unit instead of 2. I'd like it to recognize both of them separately so I can use them independently.
The setup:
- My docking station (Dell Thunderbolt - WD19TBS) (shortened Dell link): https://tinyurl.com/4usewynw
- My Macbook (14" M1 Max, Monterey): https://support.apple.com/kb/SP854?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
- My monitors (shortened Amazon link): https://tinyurl.com/52hb78e6
Does anyone know why this issue could be happening? I've disconnected, reconnected, tried a couple troubleshooting processes, etc. Not sure what's going on. I'd love any thoughts!
Thank you!
MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.1
