There are 184 questions about the problem I have and the answer is terrible. "Restart your Mac" Seriously? The photo booth app counts down from 3 and then just holds a still shot while it's supposed to be recording. When I stop the recording I get a blank video of 0 min duration.

We see you're having an issue recording videos with Photo Booth on your Mac. Are you using the built-in camera or an external? If you attempt to use QuickTime to make your recording does the issue persist? How about on a different user account on the Mac? Is your Mac completely up-to-date?
