When trying to reinstall osx ,when putting in my Apple id it says This Apple id has not been used with apple store.
Why is this?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities. We understand that when trying to reinstall macOS you're seeing an alert that the Apple ID you're entering hasn't been used in the App Store yet. Are you using the same Apple ID you originally used to install this version of macOS, as that's what you'll need to use. If so, are you able to continue if you choose "Review"?
