I am trying to do Updates in the Apps Store on my MacBook Air and the wrong (an old one) Apple ID keeps appearing in the Apple ID box. I have signed in and out of the Store and it keeps appearing and won't let me change it. I cannot delete the App Store app as computer won't allow me to do this and when I try I get a message saying I cannot delete as it is required by OS X. Can someone help with this please.

Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. After deleting the apps, it may be necessary to restart the device/computer before you can download the apps again. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
Or you can try to set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your purchases.
