What year is your Mac?

Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies to Intel-Based Macs only) Sometimes changes are made to the system and then settings (i.e. for Wi-Fi) become corrupted, in the meanwhile. So, reset both on your Mac. See where it goes from there. It’s worth a go.

Get this Serviced:

Then my option would not apply. By your info, it appears your screen has failed. It is time for a new screen. Here is who to contact:

A. Contact Apple Support:

If purchased from Apple, or covered under AppleCare, then get this serviced by Apple.

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. And that makes sense because with the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

B. Contact an AASP:

Also, take this to an AASP (Apple Authorized Service provider), asking for assistance.

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone

Or...

C. Contact A Retailer:

Contact your local retailer, seeing if they replace these slots.

Try a safeboot—https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 and test, reboot as normal and test.

if necessary you can always force quite the Mac by holding the powerbutton/TouchID for ~6-10 secs.

Force shut down:

I’ve had the M1 Pro 14” for just three days and Today I suddenly noticed two or three dead or stuck pixels on my screen. How’s that possible with a brand new macbook? It’s the second unit I would have to return and change. The first one had a faulty SD card reader; the battery was draining crazy fast and communication from iphone via macbook was laggy…like 3 seconds lag from my voice input. I’m about to send this unit back to the store as well…so tired of doing this already…as much as people talk crap about windows, I never experienced this much trouble in a brand new windows laptop.
