Iphone phone battery keeps draining constantly

I keep getting update information and I don't update. The phone is very slow and even though I don't use it much, the battery drains out quickly. Should I update to help w battery or get my phone serviced? its an iphone8

iPhone 8 Battery Drainage I have an iPhone 8 and about 4 or 5 months ago the battery started draining really fast for no reason. And my battery health of my phone is at 83%. So I don’t understand why it would be draining so fast. And I have done tons of research and done what I can to fix it but it hasn’t really done anything. I’ve gone over tips others have given, for example restarting the phone, closing apps, setting changes etc but it doesn’t change anything. Could we get a new patch update fixing these specific issue? Please. It sucks paying full price for a product that lies to its consumers. All that propaganda on better battery life seems to be a scam imo. My phone x held up much better….(this is for the iPhone developers, hoping they’ll see this). Bc I’m starting to regret buying iPhone products ……
