I am running Mac OS Monterey 12.1 and it seems like the Universal Control feature got back into the build as "Beta", but it seems that I cannot activate it; I mean the option shows up (see picture), but clicking on the checkbox does nothing. Is there a way to activate it by modifying a config file somewhere?

It's not released, yet. I think the last I heard was Spring which could then be as late as June 20.

I've been reading that Universal Control should release in 12.2, so if it's the case, then I guess I won't waste time figuring it out...
I'm not quite sure how you think you could somehow activate unreleased software.
