Robert,

Thank you for the additional information. Have you been able to check on the upload status of the songs in your playlist for Sync Library? If not, this article shows how: Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support If all applicable devices have Sync Library enabled, you could see if restarting all devices involved may help reflect your music library (including your smart playlists) properly.

To confirm, are you sharing the same Apple ID with your daughter? We're wondering as you stated she sees the smart playlists on her phone, but not on her computer.

Best wishes to you.

To clarify. I have created 3 Playlists and 18 Smart Playlists on my PC in iTunes. I signed up for Apple Music and only 1 Playlist shows up in Apple Music. I then checked Sync and then 3 Playlists now show up but the Smart Playlists do not show up in Apple Music when I sign in on a computer. The Smart Playlists do show up on my daughters phone but not her PC. Is this how it works or should they show up? Thanks, Robert

I have checked the status in iTunes and it seems fine. For an example one of my Smart Playlists currently has 247 songs in it. 23 of them have a dotted cloud and the rest are blank. All 247 show up in the Smart Playlist on my wife and daughters phone but I can't play the 23 with the dotted cloud. However on my PC and my daughters PC in Apple Music the Smart Playlists are not there at all. The only Playlists that show up in Apple Music on our PC's are 3 regular non Smart Playlists. All my songs seem to be there but not in any Smart Playlist. Restarting and resyncing does not fix the issue. Yes we are sharing the same Apple ID.

Thanks, Robert

Robert,

A dotted-line cloud could mean that the song/songs haven't been fully updated yet, can't be matched, so on. For those songs, this article might be helpful: If your songs are grayed out - Apple Support This article might be helpful as well: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support

All the best.

Thanks for the information. Over 95% of my music has synced but not my playlists so they are just all under songs. I now have done 2 chat sessions with Apple and they could not resolve this issue of Smart Playlist not showing up on my PC's. They both said it looks like Smart Playlist do not work on the Apple Music app. Then they set up a call back and I spoke with a rep on the phone. He spent the next hour telling me to hold on and not really saying much other I am still looking and he does not see anything about my issue. He seemed to give up and say I do not know what else to do to try and help you. He said I could try to get the issue escalated but he sees nothing that say Smart Playlists do or do not work with Apple Music.
