After upgrading to watchOS 8.3 my activity rings don't show, only the numbers

Since I have upgraded to watchOS 8.3 my Apple Watch 6 doesn't show the rings for my activities, only the numbers:

When I restart the watch, it will correctly show the rings for a while and then go back to numbers only again. I also experienced the problem after updating to WatchOS 8. It was gone for a while after previous updates but unfortunately came back again.
