Delivery times - Macbook Pro M1 Max CTO

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with ordering the new M1 Max computers in custom form from December 2021 onwards? Or any CTO M1 Mac for that matter?

I’ll be ordering mine from a Premium Reseller in Europe but am getting discouraged for waiting 2-3 months as I’ve read on the internet. Is this still an issue?

Thanks,

Petar

Being a "reseller" *may* add a delay. An individual unit you buy from Apple is one of thousands of single-orders, which is processed in mostly "as received" order. "Reseller" can get its order arriving in "provisioned batches" so yours might be stuck waiting for more of a batch to be ready.

Or I may be completely wrong. But international parts shortages are making custom orders delayed.

I ordered my M1 Max 64Gb/4TB mid December as well.. with the largest Apple retailer in Germany. No sign of it yet... it's almost 3 months now. Needless to say that this is disappointing. Still working on my 2018 Mac mini and 2013 MacBook Pro for now (that thing is an absolute beast by the way... I bought the maxed out version back then, and haven't regretted it for one second. Sadly I have one of those screens of which the top layer now looks like a total disaster... but it still runs beautifully).

Congratulations on the full specified device! I'v ordered a M1 Max 32Gb/2TB and am looking forward to it.

I had a Macbook Pro mid 2014 with the same screen issue. Found on the internet that Apple extended the warranty from 2 to 4 years on the screens for that model, so I got mine replaced (the screen) free of charge. Found it randomly while searching for the problem.

Lets hope we don't wait more than 4 months for our devices.

Hi to all,

So my Mac arrived a bit more than two months after ordering from an Austrian reseller. I was and still am surprised it arrived this quickly!

I was a bit disappointed because it arrived in Space Grey and not Silver. There was a misunderstanding with my retailer. I'm keeping it though.

Hope you guys get your gadgets soon!

Regards,

Petar
