How do I stop Mac OS Monterey from verifying every time I open a Microsoft or Adobe app?
Where can I verify apps or developers, so it doesn't take time to verify apps, please.
iMac 21.5″, OS X 10.10

The answer you received is incorrect. The verification is only supposed to happen once. Not every single time you open a third party app.
The solution is to uninstall the app causing the repeated verification step and reinstalling it. It will then verify on the first launch as a "new" app, but then shouldn't afterwards.
Some apps will require a re-verification. Such as every time you apply an update to Office or the Adobe apps. But it should still only do that once after the update has been applied.
Because of the frequent delays in starting MS products, I have sadly left my iMac and have gone back to WIndows.
I actually have found Windows 11 a greatly enhanced Windows product and enjoy using it. It's no longer clumsy to use and has a Mac-like feel to it.
Sorry but that is NOT helpful. Gatekeeper is verifying all my Adobe and Microsoft apps every time there is an update. So that means that I would have to uninstall 20 big apps and reinstall them every time there is an update. Apple needs to fix Gatekeeper so verification happens in the background when the computer is not active. There should be a "Check Later" box on the verification popup to delay verification until the next inactive period.
I am waiting 90minutes for this verification (my third attempt today - 3 hours since I sat down to try to start my work day).
X Code has taken over 30 minutes this morning - Apple's own product. I have uninstalled xcode, restarted and it is still verifying!!!
This is beyond frustrating and it happens EVERY SINGLE DAY! Unless Mac is updating Monteray every day - I don't see how the apple statements about these verifications being required when an update is installed can be true.
I need to be able to login to my mac to be able to work. Do I disable updates so that I can avoid this script?!
Xcode is several gigabytes. It does take several minutes to unzip, verify, and launch the first time. Otherwise, those verification windows should only last a few seconds. If they take any more than that, then you hard drive has failed and you probably need a new computer.
FWIW in my setup Xcode does not verify after its initial install (Mac mini 2018, macOS 12.5).
But I have an external Carbon Copy Cloner bootable SSD clone that is then data-only bacupped with CCC. And if I then boot it, then it usually takes about 4 minutes to verify Xcode.
So maybe your internal main boot volume has some related issue that resets the verify info?
This whole issue is ridiculous that Apple has not resolved it a long time ago … “Apple do you care about your users … why not correct this once and for all … or don’t you care?” Please, no more excuses.
Most Mac users (99+% ?) do not have this problem. The situation is user specific due to what software is on the computer etc. Maybe hardware too? Office and Photoshop elements open almost instantly on my computer directly to the document or new page without the issues posted by those in this thread, without verifications, etc. A solution for some is to change the security policy as explained in my June 15th post to this thread. For some reloading the OS. Whichever, there is something on these computers that is not ok and preventing from operating as designed by Apple.
@Charles Palenz, you are 100% incorrect about 99%+, you even question yourself so why post that?
The plain fact is that this is an absolute unnecessary nuisance built by Apple, and Apple alone, that is affecting allot of professionals. If Apple doesn't rectify the issue in such a way that users can seamlessly fix, without reinstalling OS or third party software than I expect they will quickly fall in line the way Quark Express lost out to Adobe InDesign. Don't think you're above Microsoft, Apple. The fact that I am so upset to even return to "waste" my time here in these forums is an example of our frustration. I think I speak for many! I am also guessing that Apple execs, tech support, and employees don't give a rats (you what) about us. Unless someone from Apple who actually has some legitimate clout, don't bother contacting me until you are willing to address the issue.
Others with great experience and myself have offered solutions that work and you have to step up and figure out your situation and perhaps how you are different and apply the knowledge offered or find ones that work for you. We are all trying to be helpful, and Apples software is working well for us and you have an exception, apparently. You may need to hire a local professional to trouble shoot.
I get it, and appreciate the need for security. However, you are missing the entire point. MAC users do not want headaches like this, that directly affect work flow, equalling direct loss of revenue. You will lose customers, you are losing customers because of it. I am losing customers because of it!
What you are basically telling us is the same thing as me saying, if you're going to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you have to wait ten minutes before opening the jar of peanut butter, then 20 more minutes to open the jelly. Once you do that, put the slices of bread back in the bag and go to the store and buy a new bag of bread because the first one that was perfectly fresh and a well known brand, isn't baked by Apple. Now that you've done that, you have to spread each piece with a different knife making sure one is plastic and one is steel.
Again, I appreciate your effort to give us all solutions, but as a business practice, this is a fail. We just want the darn sandwich! (which by the way, we all paid handsomely for)
Because of this continuing and unnecessary hassle I should not have to go through and Apple itself not wanting to officially admitting rectifying this issue, I unfortunately have chosen to leave Apple and have put my iMac up for sale. Sad.

”Choose” - Refer to my comment about the devil and the deep blue sea.
Plus ça change…
Try having a regular iMac....5 minutes is as fast as it gets!
Hello ... It seems many of us have this problem but Apple has no solution.
WISH LIST: Apple to create a "white list" of apps that Mac OS will skip the verifying process.
