Mac Mini (late 2012)

When will (late 2012) Mac Mini cease to receive new OS X upgrades? I currently have Catalina version 10.15.7 and was wondering when I will have to purchase a newer version. It runs great right now.

1. It already has, except for possible critical security patches.

2. When the computer stops working or no longer supports software you need.

That is support for repairs and not OS updates. If Apple follows past practices, it will be likely after the next macOS upgrade (macOS 13?) there will no longer be OS security updates for Catalina. Also, as time goes on, support for apps may also go away. There have been several software vendors that are beginning to follow the Apple 3 year OS support cycle.
