Unable to update iphone

I have tried all kinds of things to update my iPhone iOS and am not able to. I am on v12.2 on an iPhone 7. When I try to download and install 15.2.1, it downloads it but then tells me that .

I have made sure to leave enough space for the update. I do the install while plugged in and with plenty of battery life. I have removed it from my network and re-added it. I have restarted in airplane mode. I have restarted wi-fi. None of these have worked.

What else can I try to update my iOS??

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update.
