Infinite crash loop and recovery mode

it started when I went into recovery mode because I thought it could help. When I was finished, I decided to exit by clicking restart, but when the apple logo showed up, a bunch of text pops up on the top left, same thing when I shut down.

i try to hold shift to restart into safe mode, but that does nothing, and holding command r just puts me into recovery mode again. When I tried to exit using the red X, it says I have to click a startup disk, but nothing is there. it’s an endless loop of this and I am stumped and have no clue what to do. I need help

Evidence of a 'kernel panic error' screen and lack of startup drive; may suggest

a need to try and see if Internet Recovery might appear; if that is attempted.

While this may have a chance at helping, there's also possibility of drive failure.
