Update crashes IPad Amazon video player?

Did the recent IPad update cause Amazon your video player to keep crashing? How to fix?

Amazon video player crashes after playing a minute or two ever since I installed most recent update. I tried rebooting and following the Amazon help suggestions for video player trouble. No joy.

I can stream on Netflix, YouTube, TV networks, but only Amazon crashes. I have prime.
