iMac 24´ - difference

Hi.

I am thinking about buying the iMac 24 inch 2021 model. I am not sure which one of them to choose. It seems to me the only different between the two "cheaper" models is the ports and the fingerprint-ID on the keyboard. Are the cheapest version good enough?

I am using it for internet, writing, photoshop and some light video editing.

Any tips for a beginner?

I'd also opt for extra RAM and a drive big enough to suit your needs. This is to future-proof the machine, either for yourself while you have it or to make it a sellable item later on. It will help too for video.

I always recommend going as far as your budget can reach. It's an investment you will have for some time, and an important one, after a house, a car and cats.

The Green one, of course : )

No, blue.

if you have a lot of USB-A peripherals, and are going to get a dock anyway, the fewer ports should not matter. I got the high-end one and the only time I plug in anything besides my OWC dock is my Thunderbolt->Thunderbolt to plug in my Thunderbolt->FireWire for my Camcorder. My dock has ethernet, so I wouldn't have needed the internet capable power supply, anyway. Actually I generally use wifi, so I don't use either. 8^)
