Apps that are no longer available in App Store & No longer supported by updated version of iOS

I need to access all the data I have recorded in an App which no longer opens and is no longer available in Apps Store

I downloaded and been using this “my notebook” App for years. Last year the App no longer opened. I was told the App is no longer available in the App Store. Apple Support said the App is not not supported by the updated version of iOS. No access 2 my data. I have no way of locating the designer. I am stuck.

Sadly it happens every now and then and the only person at fault is the developer who abandoned their clients*.

There is no way to reaccess the data usually. Developers have full access to upcoming OS versions during the whole OS development process so they can update their apps to accommodate any changes that affect their apps.

The other issue is putting all of your eggs in one basket. If your data is truly important, perhaps have a fallback plan for just such an event like this in the future.

*Sadly, on occasion, a developer may unexpectedly die as well.

There must be a way to regain access. I didn’t know doing the system updates would eventually prevent me from accessing the App, otherwise I would not accept the updates or try moving all my data into another application before the system update.
