Battery will not hold a charge after upgrading (2 days ago) to macOS Monterey 12.1 MacBook Pro 2017 13"

The laptop is left plugged in to AC most of the time.

Battery does not charge properly When I plug in my power cord (fully functional when testing other laptops), my MacBook Pro 2017 often does not charge at all. On the rare occasions it does, it charges extremely slowly and often switches back to not charging. The battery percentage also jumps around (one moment "charging" at 16%, next second charging at 14% etc). My battery is normal and doesn't need replacement. MacBook Pro M1 Max not charging battery in Monterey 12.3.1 Hi, Guys. After installing Monterey 12.3.1, I noticed that the laptop doesn't charge the battery when the level is over 80% (or around this number). The light in the connector is always orange and the laptop keeps consuming the battery. I have to unplug it, wait for the battery level to go down to the 70s%, and plug it again to get it to charge. Sometimes, it begins to charge but it stop when it gets to 94% or 95%. Is there something broken or is it some kind of battery protection implemented in this new version of Monterey? Battery issue with Macbook Pro After the last update, macOS Monterey version 12.1 my mac always shows that is connected to a power adapter but not charging when in reality it is not connected. And when I try to connect it to charge it takes a really long time to detect the charger and starts charging. Side note my battery health is normal.

You could try resetting the SMC of your Mac. If that doesn't help, you will likely have to take the computer in to have its battery checked out.
