I stopped receiving message notifications. I checked my settings and they are still set to allow notifications. I have iPhone 13 pro max and I watch 7. I do use focus but even when they are turned off, no notifications are displaying either when phone is locked or unlocked. I have tried turning the notifications off, then back on and restarting my phone but they still don’t come through.

It sounds like you're having some trouble with notifications on your iPhone.
Check for an update for the iPhone if you haven't already, as updating may resolve the issue: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Also, check to see if all available app updates have been performed. If you're not sure how to do that, follow these steps: Update apps or use automatic downloads.
Temporarily turn off a VPN if you have one then test to see if notifications work: Use VPN on iPhone.

Thanks for following up. Just to confirm, you are receiving the text messages, but you're just not receiving notifications for them? Are you receiving the notifications on the Apple Watch? If so, learn more about the reasons why an Apple Watch would receive notifications instead of the iPhone and vice versa, here: Notifications on your Apple Watch.

Thanks for letting us know you don't receive the notification on either Apple Watch or iPhone. You mentioned earlier that notifications were turned on for Messages, but just to confirm, have you also confirmed that they are set to appear on the Lock Screen as well? Do this by going to Settings > Notifications > Messages, and make sure Lock Screen is checked.

On the current update. No vpn. We are talking message text. App is na. I can literally sit and get notifications correctly (with sounds) on my old iPad but my brand new phone and I watch don’t do anything
I receive the text both on my Iphone and Iwatch but do not receive notification (banner or sound). On my IPAD (older Air) i receive both banner and sound. IPhone and I watch are up to date and setting show sound and banners are turned on
