Input Monitoring works regardless of activation

I could not access this site on Safari in the studio.. trust issues I guess. So I'm at my job on Firefox.

In Logic Pro, regardless whether the tracks input monitoring butting is active or not, I still hear the instrument on the hot mic. This just started after setting the MAC to output to a Bluetooth stereo for mix referencing and then back to Sapphire Pro 40/Mix Control interface.

I have a query in with Focusrite.

All the controls for input monitoring are checked in logic. All Audio settings point to Sapphire.

It's not good hearing both the raw audio and the tracks monitoring audio, at the same time. No work can be done. As stated it could be the Focusrite Mix Control causing this, but I see noting amiss there.

Has anyone else had this problem? A solution would be appreciated.

The only way I found it to work was to set Mix Control to "Daw Tracking", and then eliminate channel 9&10 redundant head phone mix. However I still had a latency effect, so I dug further into Logic. It turns out, hidden in the stereo output bus was echo and chorus. This did not show up "on screen" until I reset the stereo bus, then it popped up. So I had to reset again to clear it out.

Still more testing tonight to make sure all is well.

You might have direct monitoring switched on in your Focusrite interface and if it's also set to output sound from your Logic Pro mix, then you'll hear both raw incoming audio and tracks in Logic.

From my experience analyzing issues with Logic Pro and Focusrite, it's almost always something that's switched on (or not, for that matter) in the external audio interface's control utility app. So, you have the right hunch to suspect Focusrite Mix Control.
