TikTok in my Cellular Data settings but not installed on iPhone

Scrolling through my cellular data settings, I saw TikTok in the list. I never installed TikTok on my iPhone SE. Sometimes friends message me, and I play their TikTok video. Using iOs 15.2.1.

I cannot imagine Apple would automatically imbed TikTok in iOS. Seems like a really poor practice, if that's the case. Since I did not install it, cannot find where to delete it. Any ideas?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

I figured out that this is an APP CLIP, not the App itself. iOS (some recent version) is allowing apps like TikTok to automatically install App Clips on the phone without the user knowing it. To find an App Clip, search the phone or go to SETTINGS and scroll down until App Clips (a blue icon) appears toward the bottom of your installed apps. If no app clips are installed, then there won't be the blue icon. Tap the App Clip icon to view what is installed. You can REMOVE an app clip by swiping.

Then, go back to CELLULAR data. Scroll down... you'll see UNINSTALLED APPS. I think that's the residue of deleting an app clip. In other words, it is deleted but somehow iOS did an incomplete job?

Hello Reluctanticloud,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you are seeing a listing for TikTok in your cellular data settings list. The TikTok app isn't installed automatically. If it is installed on your iPhone, it may have been installed inadvertently. You can start by turning off Cellular data in that list for cellular data usage. You can look for the TikTok app by physically looking for the app on the different pages of your iPhone. Once you locate the app, you can use the following support article to delete it from your iPhone.
