Out of nowhere I got a message to reset my Apple ID. So I've tried to do this several times finally going to a random password generator. I was able to reset on my Mac but when I try to reset on my iPad or phone I keep getting an error message that Verification Failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server. I'm locked out of my equipment. I did not start this and I have no idea why I had to change my password. Please help. Thank you.

Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch *
Try a forced restart.
Reset Device. *
If necessary
Hard reset. -
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup. *

When I try to sign in on my other devices with the new password it goes into limbo then give the error message about not being able to connect with the Apple ID server. This is crazy.
