My whatsapp notifications are disabled

This issue is usually a glitch caused by an app. I have also experienced before and deleting and reinstalling the app fixed the issue for me. However, you might lose your WhatsApp chats if you just delete the app. Please follow the instructions below to fix the issue and keep your chats.

• Backup your Whatsapp chats to iCloud here: https://faq.whatsapp.com/iphone/chats/how-to-back-up-to-icloud/?lang=en
• Instead of deleting WhatsApp, you can “offload” the app. This will only delete the app and not the data in the app like chats. Still I advise you to do an iCloud backup from the previous step just in case. Go to settings > general > iPhone storage > tap Whatsapp > tap “offload”. • Now wait a few minutes, then tap the WhatsApp icon on your iPhones homescreen or search “WhatsApp” on the app store and reinstall the app. It should ask you to enable notifications upon opening the app.
