Unable to set up Iphone 13 pro max
I just received the 13 pro max. I have spent the past several hours trying to set up the phone and restore data from my previous phone. The quick start cancels every time and directs me to erase the new phone and start over (tried this 4 times, the phones are all fully charged, all software is updated on both phones and my macbook). The manual backup from itunes does not work - I Just get a blue bar saying it's restoring but the 13 pro goes back to the startup language screen and does not respond. Any attempt to connect to my icloud or apple ID results in an error - either unknown error or unable to connect (the password is correct). I have restarted all the devices multiple times. Nothing is working. And now the SIM card also no longer works in my old phone for some reason, so I have no working phone for calls or texts. Of course, when I go to support, Apple wants to schedule a phone call and will not let me schedule a genius bar appointment. So, I am stuck with a $1500 brick and seemingly no way to get help.
