Random websites open when I start safari

so I noticed this over the past few days. I open safari and whatever tabs where open earlier just opened up and its never happened before. those aren't the settings I have. when I came on this forum earlier I saw someone suggesting it could be malware so I downloaded a malwarebytes as per the instructions under the other post and it showed no malware found. what do I do now?

while granting full disk access to malwarebytes I noticed a few other applications that could be granted full disk access like avast uninstaller, bash and sshd_keygen_wrapper...what on earth are these? do I delete these? if so, how?

Try Force Quitting Safari and launch Safari holding the shift key down.
